This month we are looking back at some rubber gasket projects we have recently produced, across a very wide range of sizes and usage!
This giant sheet of SBR red rubber (below) went into producing a 2m x 3m Red Rubber gasket. This material is used widely across many applications due to its excellent tensile, impact and sealing strength. Its durability and resistance to abrasion also make it ideal for extremely challenging situations such as conveyor belt covers and lining rubber.

Also on the large side was a storage tank lid seal fabricated from Hypalon rubber, which is ideal for this purpose due to its excellent chemical resistance properties. Hypalon is also capable of withstanding high and low temperatures without losing its sealing integrity, making it the ideal choice for applications that demand a high-performance sealing solution in challenging environments.

Smaller in size but not in toughness, our Boiler Seals are the only ones produced in the UK. These sturdy, 6mm thick EPDM gaskets are versatile due to their resistance to high temperatures and pressures, making them ideal for sealing the doors of both heritage and modern industrial boilers.

Finally, we turn to the food industry, where we were recently tasked with turning around a batch of EC-compliant metal-detectable silicone gaskets within a day to meet the urgent demand of a client. Metal-detectable gaskets contain ferrites in the silicone compound that enable the detection of rubber fragments from seal abrasion or breakdown in food processing production lines.
