We manufacture gaskets from specialist materials for applications with continuous temperatures exceeding +500 °C. These materials can be bonded with a SS316L tanged core, or as filler material for spiral wound gaskets. All our high-temperature gasket and filler materials provide excellent sealing performance under intense heat, with high resistance to oxidation and superb thermal stability.
We hold a large stock of high-temperature gasket materials, or can source and supply specialist sheets and fillers. Please contact our expert technical team to discuss your specific requirements.
Micatherm is a rigid mica-based gasket material bonded with a SS316L tanged core. It offers excellent thermal stability, electrical insulation, and resistance to oxidation at high temperatures.
Firefly non-asbestos mill board is a high-temperature flexible sealing material designed to maintain integrity in extreme heat and direct flame environments.
Thermiculite is a vermiculite-based, asbestos-free gasket material providing excellent sealing performance under high temperatures and thermal cycling. Available reinforced with SS316L, or as filler for spiral wound gaskets.
A low bio-persistence fibre material offering lightweight, highly compressible insulation and sealing at elevated temperatures. Superwool is a low-risk replacement for older Ceramic paper seals.
Dobson’s manufacture a range of high-temperature gaskets from non-asbestos and fibre and materials that in many cases are reinforced with metal composites and supplied with anti-corrrosion and oxidisation inhibitors. All gaskets are precision cut in-house using state-of-the-art machinery, such as CAM cutting tables, water jetting and punch presses.
We offer clients a full turnkey service, including materials specification, CAD design and prototyping. We apply the same attention to detail whether producing small or large runs gaskets and all gaskets are manufactured to the required national and international standards.

We supply a range of gaskets capable of handling temperatures and pressures beyond the range of most standard gasket materials. These specialist sheet materials and fillers are stable under the harshest fluctuating conditions involving combustible fluids, fire, steam and exhaust emissions.
We have listed below an overview of the materials we hold in stock and their standard operating conditions. As one of the UK’s largest sheet material distributors we can also source and cost-effectively supply a full range of other high temp materials. Please get in touch for more information.
| Materials | Temperature Range | Max PSI/BAR | Download |

Our highly experienced technicians can advise you on the best sheet materials and manufacturing processes for a wide range of gasket applications.
Sealing against high temp medias such as steam and exhaust emissions requires a rigid material impervious to thermal degradation over fluctuating conditions. Mica and non-asbestos fibre gaskets are typically used in these types of applications, particularly where oxygen is present and standard higher temperature materials such a graphite will fail.
We supply a vast range of gasket materials, available to buy directly or order from us. For more information visit the Gasket Sheet Materials page
